Another stinkin hot day here at Toronto for Heat 2
With the Nor'easter not coming through until about 3pm, we got away not long later.
The start itself worked better today, but we were a little close to the moored boats for the wind strength, so this caused some chaos.
First work strong runner was 957 Woodlands Metal Spinners, rounding first, with 977 Take It Easy and 981 Any Which Way following behind. 969 Natural Juices was going to be next to round, but I'm led to believe someone dropped the main sheet, so everyone had to avoid the boat so close to the top mark. There was a strong tangle between Take It Easy and Any Which Way, causing havoc just after they top mark.
Heat 1 was a scorcher!
A bit of a muddled start and we were off.
969 Natural Juices and 977 Take It Easy got off to a smashing start, with 973 On the Road Again and 957 Woodlands Metal Spinners following close behind.
981 Any Which Way had a quick dip up the first work, and then we were all around headed for the wing mark.
Well it is the first heat of the Toronto Diggers 62nd Australian Skate National Championships today.
